After reading many fun and creativie activities that I could do with my students in the classroom, the one that appealed to me most was:

"Take lots of pictures while on a class field trip. Have students write a caption for each picture, post the photos and captions to a Web site to create a virtual field trip."

I thought this could be a really fun and creative project. I feel this really enforces technology in the classroom because not only are the students and teachers using a digital camera to take pictures, but you can also have fun with it by creating a web page after the field trip. Many teachers just have students write about the field trip, but now with technology we can use cameras to capture everything from the field trip and this makes it easier for students to remember special or educational moments from the field trip. I also thought this was an effective idea because students can use the class website as well. The teacher can post the pictures on the website and each student can make a fun or educational comment at the bottom of each photo.

This idea is not only engaging for the students but they also can capture their memories from the field trip. At the end of the field trip they have thier own virtual field trip because of the digital imaging. Students would be able to enjoy these pictures throughout the rest of the year and it is also a great way for teachers to remember their students and special moments that year.

After reviewing the Online Resources I have come to find that Math Playground was the most useful and interesting one for me. I liked this website because I myself want to be an elementary school teacher and I found this one most useful to me.
I liked all of the interactive games that this website has to offer. I feel that students would be engaged by this site because these games are similar to the ones they would play on their home computer or gaming system, but what is better about these games is they are educational. I also liked how each game was set up into different parts such as logic games, math games, word problems, and so on.. This makes it easier for the students and parents to navigate through the website.
One of my favorite games on this website was the flash card game. This game is an excellent resource for children in an elementary school level. It is a fast, fun, and easy way to remember adding and subtracting and increases the calculation speed for students.
I feel this website is the most useful out of all the Online Resources I looked at because it is a fun way for elementary school students to learn math problems. What I also like about this website is the student can either work on it at school or at their home computer. Parents and teachers can work together in helping their students and children and this website is a great guidance for that.

A WebQuest is assignment which asks students to use the Internet to learn about and/or synthesize their knowledge a specific topic. There are five basic components of an average WebQuest which include:
Introduction: set the stage for the activity.
Task: state what the students will be required to do
Process: give a clear step-by-step instruction
Evaluation: display a rubric to measure the product as objectively as possible and leave little room for question.
Conclusion: summarize the experience and WebQuest as a whole.

After learning about WebQuests and how they work in the classroom, I believe that they can be very beneficial especially in such a fast paste world that we live in today. WebQuests are perfect for a teacher who is struggling to find time for extra activities when trying to fit everything into the curriculum. For example, a teacher who wants to expand more on photosynthesis because they feel their class has not fully reached an understanding, but can not find the time, can tell their students to create a WebQuest about the photosynthesis process. WebQuests can also be beneficial to Special Education teachers because it gives them more than one way to teach and see what special needs students know or need more guidance on.

I also feel they are an effective tool in education because it makes a lesson or activity more meaningful and engaging. After looking at quite a few WebQuest examples I have found them to be very beneficial because it lets the students get creative on what they have learned.

To sum up what I have learned about WebQuests is: it provides teachers the opportunity to not only make the classroom more engaging but they can also see what the students know about a certain topic and what they need more guidance on.
